The LISD was ranked in the springs of 1995, 1996 and 1998 in the top nine percent of the nation's school districts and received the "What Parents Want Award" from the Ohio-based school consulting firm SchoolMatch. SchoolMatch helps parents choose schools for their children when employers relocate them.
