The Longview High School Literary Team has won first or second place in UIL District Literary Events for the past 25 years. In 1995 a drama student won third in poetry.
The math team has won the district math competition for the past 25 years with students going to state competition 21 of the past 25 years.
The one-act play advanced to area finals in 1994 and regional finals in 1995.
