Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce serves the City of Marshall and the surrounding area of Harrison County, Texas. Marshall and the Chamber serve as the geographic heart of the ARK-LA-TEX region of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas.

The Chamber plays the major role in tourism development activities for Marshall through a contract with the city government. Special activities supported by the Chamber include three (3) major annual festivals which bring in over 1,000,000 visitors annually. The employment of two (2) full-time staff lends signifigance to the degree the Chamber and Marshall support the tourist industry in this region.

The Chamber also plays a significant role in economic development, working in cooperation with Marshall Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO), and the city and county governments.

When the Chamber serves as the initial point of contact for new businesses, it works as hard as possible to create the best "first" impression of Marshall. The Chamber takes its position as a team member in economic development seriously, and will work in any manner necessary to help any business considering a start or expansion in Marshall.
