
Academic Pentathlon is offered to seventh graders along with UIL competition. Junior High students compete in a variety of UIL events as well as band and athletics. Leadership activities include student council, PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership Students) and officer positions for various clubs.
Over 80 percent of all high school students participate in extra-curricular activities. Recent honors include the state UIL Academic Championship, having all-state band and choir members, having the student council serve as state vice-president, and winning multiple awards in boys' and girls' sports. Math/science teams from the high school, junior high and middle school have earned state honors in the past four years.
